Your safari begins as you arrive in Arusha, where you’ll be warmly welcomed by a Zepisa African Safaris representative. You’ll be transferred to the opulent Gran Melia hotel, a sanctuary of calm and beauty where you can unwind and prepare for the adventures that lie ahead. Take in the luxury surroundings, relax, and rejuvenate as you get ready to explore Tanzania’s magnificent landscapes and wildlife.
Meals & Drinks
In the morning, our safari guide will pick you up from your hotel in Arusha. We will drive to Tarangire National Park on a nice road through the Maasai plains with scattered acacia trees. Along the way, we will see many Maasai people in their colorful clothes walking, riding bicycles, herding cattle, and driving donkey carts.
Tarangire National Park is famous for its large elephant herds, but you will also see many other animals. From the open roof of our special safari jeep, we will look at the seasonal swamps, savanna, and the important Tarangire River. We will try to spot different animals like zebra, wildebeest, buffalo, elephant, and giraffe. Sometimes, we might even see lions hunting or leopards resting in the trees.

After breakfast, you will head towards the fertile highlands where the Iraqw people grow wheat and corn. On the way, we’ll go through the misty rainforests of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. You might see baboons, leopards, and elephants in the thick forest. Passing through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, you will see the amazing Ngorongoro Crater before moving on to the Serengeti National Park, which you will reach by midday. The Serengeti National Park is the largest park in Tanzania and has a variety of landscapes like grassy plains, swamps, lakes, savannah, and mountains. After a long game drive, we will go to your accommodation where you will have dinner and stay overnight.

You will spend a whole day in this amazing place, exploring the park and seeing its animals and beautiful views. The Serengeti is home to many kinds of wildlife, including impalas, buffalo, crocodiles, and hippos. It is most famous for the large groups of zebras and wildebeest that migrate each year, following the rain. Besides these migrating animals, you might also see predators like leopards, cheetahs, and lions.

After breakfast, you will go on one last game drive in the Serengeti. Then, you will travel to the Ngorongoro Crater. In the afternoon, you will reach the edge of the crater and see the beautiful streams, open grassland, and many animals that you will explore the next day. You will spend the night at a lodge near the crater’s edge.

After breakfast, you will drive to the Ngorongoro Crater, which is the largest volcanic crater in the world. It is about 20 km wide and 610 meters deep, and it has a lot of different kinds of animals. You can see the Big Five (lion, leopard, rhino, elephant, and buffalo), as well as wildebeest, gazelles, reedbucks, and over 500 different bird species. You will have lunch at a picnic spot and then continue to explore the crater and see more animals. After a long drive looking for animals, you will go to your place to stay in Karatu for dinner and to sleep.

After breakfast, you will drive to Lake Manyara National Park, which is 120km west of Arusha. The park has a shallow, salty lake that changes size with the seasons. This lake is home to thousands of flamingos and more than 500 other kinds of birds. During your visit, you can see animals like monkeys, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, buffalos, and elephants. If you’re lucky, you might even see lions resting in the trees. In the afternoon, you will go back to Arusha.
