Aurari Camp

Aurari Camp is Perched on the rolling hills of Wogakuria, next to granite kopjes in Northern Serengeti, neighboring the Maasai Mara. The camp is located just south of the equator, where the world-renowned Great Migration takes place. Nearly three million grazing animals, including wildebeests, zebras, and gazelles, embark on an epic journey around the Serengeti ecosystem, following seasonal rains and the nourishing grasses that grow in their wake. The Mara River crossing, which occurs from June onwards, is a highlight of the migration, attracting a multitude of onlookers and crocodiles. Aurari Camp is situated on the hillside of Wogakuria, surrounded by impressive granite boulders that add to the camp’s natural beauty.

Aurari Camp has been meticulously designed to provide the highest level of comfort while retaining the essence of “tented camping.” Each spacious guest suite features well-placed amenities throughout the cozy lounge, oversized bedroom, and gorgeous bathroom. Sustainability is at the forefront of the camp’s design, with water-saving rain showers replacing swimming pools and bathtubs. The camp primarily runs on solar power, with a silent back-up generator available for cloudy days.

The six tented suites at Aurari Camp are situated on raised platforms, offering an interior living area of 50 square meters. The camp provides WiFi in both the main area and the rooms, along with recharging facilities for your electronic devices. Ceiling fans, full-length mirrors, hair dryers, and in-room safe boxes are among the other amenities provided. Each tented suite also features a decked veranda with lounge chairs, flushing toilets, hot-water showers, bathrobes, slippers, and the convenience of hot tea and coffee brought to your room. Hand-wash laundry service is available to ensure that you have fresh clothes throughout your stay.
